ECOCERT is an independent organization that operates in more than 130 countries and supports sustainable initiatives in the form of certification, advice and training services. Originally focused on organic agriculture, ECOCERT has expanded to textiles, cosmetics and cleaning products, among others.

For detergents, the "ECODETERGENT" certificate was designed. This certificate guarantees environmentally friendly production and processing, promotion of the use of natural or organic ingredients, responsible management of natural resources and a ban on most petrochemical ingredients.

In addition, packaging and transportation are examined, the biodegradability of the product must be able to be demonstrated, and all waste treatment must make maximum use of the "reduce, reuse, recycle" concept. All bacteria used in the Greenspeed Probio Tabs are natural probiotics, also used in food industry as dietary supplements. As such, these probiotics are food grade (meaning allowed for human consumption). The wide range of probiotic bacteria used, Bacillus species, are classified and recognized as probiotic food supplements. This classification is officially done by two institutions:

1. BCCM (Belgian Coordinated Collections of Microorganisms)

The bacteria used in the Probio Tabs are registered in the Belgian Coordinated Collections of Microorganisms (BCCM), which contains samples of all bacteria, together with all of the scientific data available about them. All probiotics used in the Greenspeed Probio Tabs classify under Biosafety level 1 and as such, are safe.

1. EFSA (European Food Safety Authority)

The second part of the safety classification is done by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) who publish a list of micro-organisms that are allowed for human consumption. This list is called the QPS list (Qualified Presumption of Safety) and can be found via this link: https://www.efsa.europa.eu/en/topics/topic/qps. All probiotic bacteria used in the Greenspeed Probio Tabs are on the QPS list and are as such, safe for human consumption.

Conslusion: All probiotics in the Greenspeed Probio Tabs are of natural origin and not GMO (Genetically Modified Organisms). They are classified in Biosafety Level 1 (BCCM) and are on the QPS list (EFSA). These official classifications guarantee that Greenspeed uses only 100% safe probiotics.
