Josse:
"'YEP' stands for 'Your Environment Plan'. YEPs are digital cleaning environments, a central hub that brings together all information related to cleaning a specific type of space. There are YEPs for schools, offices, supermarkets, and many other kinds of buildings. YEPs help users understand how to clean these spaces and identify which eco-friendly products and equipment are best suited for each site They also offer guidance on how to make cleaning more productive through smart mechanization or more efficient organization of cleaning activities."
What role did you play in this project?
Josse replies,
"I started working at BOMA nearly two and a half years ago. I was given the opportunity to develop and lead this exciting project. Of course, I didn't do it alone! YEPs are the result of true teamwork across BOMA, with contributions from many people in different departments."
What is the need behind YEPs?
Josse explains,
"Information about how to clean a particular space is often scattered in many places. We wanted to create a tool that gathers everything you need to know about the products and equipment required for cleaning a given environment. YEPs meet this demand: they're a tool where we bring together all the information needed to clean a given environment according to the client's needs, and one that cleaning professionals can easily navigate and rely on."
What benefits do YEPs bring customers?
Josse adds,
"As a customer, you're not necessarily looking for a product, but rather a solution to a problem or challenge. With YEPs, we are confident that we can meet that need by offering the right product, a clear method, or simple tips and tricks to help you organize cleaning your space more effectively. You'll also learn more about smart mechanization and when it can have a real impact, as well as a lot about cleaning itself."
Does this change how people work at BOMA?
Josse explains,
"Our way of working hasn't changed, but now we're presenting it to the outside world in a more effective way: instead of starting with the product, we start with the challenges our clients face in the cleaning industry. This allows us to provide much more specific advice that better meets their needs and expectations."
Are other environments still on the agenda?
Josse replies,
"Absolutely! After launching the app with the first few environments, we didn't just stop there. We are currently working on environments like a hotel, a warehouse, and a train station, to name just a few. Eventually, we hope to cover around fifty different environments!"
