BOMA strengthens its logistics with a new warehouse in Roosendaal

In order to serve you even faster and more efficiently, BOMA will soon be moving its main warehouse from Antwerp to Roosendaal. This transition will start in September 2025 and will take place in phases, so that you, as a customer, will not experience any inconvenience. Orders and deliveries will continue as usual, and will even be faster! Our support services, technical department and BOMA Shop will remain in their familiar location in Antwerp. This step will create more room for growth, enabling us to support you even better in the future.

Why is BOMA moving to a new warehouse?

BOMA has experienced strong growth. Since the purchase of the current warehouse in 2001, the number of order lines has increased tenfold. The current site has become too small, and expansion is not permitted under the PRAS (Regional Spatial Development Plan).

Consequences:

  • Too little storage space
  • Too little room for our employees to work optimally
  • Excessive waiting times at the unloading docks
  • Additional costs due to renting external warehouses

This makes efficient and safe operations more difficult. After consulting with logistics expert Logflow, we chose a future-oriented solution: a new, larger, and more sustainable warehouse.

Why Roosendaal?

Roosendaal is located just 48 km from our headquarters in Antwerp. It is therefore a strategically convenient location that allows us to maintain a strong connection with Antwerp. The new warehouse in Roosendaal covers 24,500 m² - nearly four times larger than the current one.

Thanks to this new location:

  • We no longer need external warehouses
  • We work more efficiently with 24 unloading docks (compared to 4 today)
  • We have room to continue growing

Benefits in terms of People, Planet & Profit

The impact of this relocation on BOMA's three key pillars - People, Planet, and Profit - perfectly aligns with our commitment to the customer: Let's rethink cleaning.

This commitment means that we aim to reduce the impact on people and the environment through innovative cleaning solutions, while at the same time creating value for our customers and for society.

Why does this logistical change fit into that vision:

  • People: Thanks to automation, the physical workload for our employees is reduced, improving their comfort and safety.
  • Planet: The building achieves a BREEAM score of over 85%, fully in line with our sustainability ambitions.
  • Profit: We work more efficiently, deliver faster, make fewer mistakes, and also create space for the growth of BOMA Machinery in Antwerp.

What will change for the employees?

The relocation also has an impact on our team.

Current warehouse employees have the opportunity to move with us to Roosendaal.

Others can contribute to the expansion of BOMA Machinery in Antwerp.

Additional positions have been created in order to minimize the loss of talent as much as possible.

For employees who do not wish to or cannot relocate,

a social plan has been developed in consultation with the social partners.
